Website Design
Whilst every endeavour will be made to ensure that the website and any scripts or programs are free of errors, Quill IT cannot accept responsibility for any losses incurred due to malfunction, the website or any part of it. The website, graphics and any programming code remain the property of Quill IT until all outstanding accounts are paid in full. Any scripts, cgi applications, php scripts, or software (unless specifically agreed) written by Quill IT remain the copyright of Quill IT and may only be commercially reproduced or resold with the permission of Quill IT. Quill IT cannot take responsibility for any copyright infringements caused by materials submitted by the Client. We reserve the right to refuse any material of a copyrighted nature unless adequate proof is given of permission to use such material. Any additions to briefs provided will be carried out at the discretion of Quill IT and where no charge is made by Quill IT for such additions, Quill IT accept no responsibility to ensure such additions are error free and reserve the right to charge an according amount for any correction to these or further additions. The Client agrees to make available as soon as is reasonably possible to Quill IT all materials required to complete the site to the agreed standard and within the set deadline. Quill IT will not be liable for costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to the failure to meet agreed deadlines. Quill IT will not be liable or become involved in any disputes between the site owner and their clients and cannot be held responsible for any wrong doing on the part of a site owner.eg. Any disputes re content/images that have been provided to us for inclusion on the site. Quill IT will not be liable for any costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to the work carried out on behalf of the Client or any of the Clients appointed agents. Quill IT will not be liable for any costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to the unavailability of the site, its servers, software or any material provided by its agents. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required with all of our projects before any design work will be carried out. Once a website has been designed and completed the final balance of payment is then due in accordance with our payment terms. There are no exceptions to this, i.e if the Client decides they no longer want the site, as they have commissioned the work and paid a deposit they are still obliged to pay for the work that has been done. Non payment will result in legal action being taken if necessary. Once full payment is received for a website, it is assumed that the project has been completed to the Clients satisfaction and no refunds can be offered. We do offer free updates for a month after completion to allow for any final amendments that may be required.
Database, Application and Content Management Development
Quill IT cannot take responsibility for any losses incurred by the use of any software created for the Client. Whilst every care has been taken to ensure products are problem free and accurate, the ultimate responsibility lies with the Client in ensuring that all software is functioning correctly before use. Any scripts, applications or software (unless specifically agreed) written by Quill IT remain the copyright of Quill IT and may only be commercially reproduced or resold with the permission of Quill IT. Where applications or sites are developed on servers not recommended by Quill IT, the Client is expected to provide or seek any information, additional software, support or co-operation pertaining to the server required in order for the application to be correctly developed. Where large applications are to be developed, it is the Clients responsibility to provide a suitable testing environment which is identical to the final production environment. The Client is expected to test fully any application or programming relating to a site developed by Quill IT before being made generally available for use. Where "bugs", errors or other issues are found after the site is live, Quill IT will endeavour (but is not obliged to) to correct these issues to meet the standards of function outlined in the brief
Compatibility
Quill IT will endeavour to ensure that any developed/designed site or application will function correctly on the server it is initially installed in and that it will function correctly when viewed with the web browsing software Mozilla Firefox and to an acceptable level with Internet Explorer 7. Quill IT can offer no guarantees of correct function with all browser software.
Website Hosting
Quill IT will host Clients website. In doing so we will endeavour to provide a reliable and professional service to the Client at all times but do not guarantee that the website hosting will be available at all times, especially in the event of a technical failure beyond our control. The hosting provider Quill IT uses to host its Clients websites is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by qualified corporate support engineers. If a problem is detected with our Clients websites due to a hosting failure Quill IT will endeavour to respond to any failures and will work with our hosting provider to resolve the problem.
Quill IT reserve the right to refuse to handle in anyway, material which may be deemed offensive, illegal or in any way controversial, and also to terminate the free hosting service should the necessity arise.
Delivery Policy
Our services are all web based and do not involve any shipping costs. Once a site is established it will only be posted live when the customer has approved it for release. Once approved the site will be live on the WWW within a maximum of two working days.
Pricing Policy
All our prices are bespoke due to the varying nature of our services and will be agreed on a case by case basis with individual customers at the point of sale.
Refunds Policy
If an initial deposit is requested and paid, no refund will be given if the Client cancels, unless work has not yet started. Once work has been completed according to the agreed schedule, the remaining balance will be due. As a result to the close and constant communication between Quill IT and the Client during the design process, no refunds are issued for completed work.
If the requested script has been successfully installed, no refund will be issued in the event of the customer changing their mind.
The Company uses a third party, to manage its subscription transactions via credit/debit card. Upon subscription by this method you will be authorising both an immediate payment and a repeat payment that will be taken regularly in the future on a frequency chosen by you during the payment steps using the card details you submit.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Please note that should you cancel your subscription your site(s) will remain accessible until your subscription ends, upon which time your site(s) will be locked, i.e. become inaccessible. Please note that deleting your sites does not cancel your subscription - you need to explicitly cancel the subscription by contacting us by any of the means given in our contact details below.
Refunds are only provided at the discretion of the Company. If for any reason you wish to apply for a refund, please

If your account is terminated as a result of your breach of these TACS, the remainder of any payment made by you will not be refund
Domain Registration/Renewal Refunds Policy
As per registrar policy, all domain name registrations and renewals are final. No refunds are given on successful domain registrations or renewals.
Complaints Procedure
Informal procedure
Anyone who experiences a problem with their web service provided by Quill IT should raise the matter directly using our online contact form to do so, giving sufficient information to locate the material (such as an url) and clearly outlining the grounds for complaint. Quill IT will approach the individual responsible for the material in question with a view to resolving the matter to the satisfaction of the complainant.
Formal complaints procedure
The formal complaints procedure should only be used where the complainant feels that the nature of the complaint is too serious to be dealt with informally, or where a satisfactory conclusion has not been reached after following the informal procedure. A formal complaint should be made in writing to Quill IT, who will acknowledge receipt and ensure that the matter is looked into as soon as possible. An initial response to any complaint can be expected within seven days of its receipt; a full and considered response to the complaint should be completed within 30 days and any subsequent remedy implemented with the minimum of delay.

There are three types of information Quill IT collects:

2)Site Visit Statistics: Visitor statistics are automatically logged by our web server. This information may include your IP address, where you have come from, your operating system, your browser make and version and your service provider. This information is used solely to build up a picture of how our website is being used by the visitors.
3)Contact Details: Email addresses and other contact information are collected in order to supply you with services that you have requested, such as articles, newsletters, brochures and press packs.

Any personal formation you supply to www.Quill IT.co.uk will only be used by Quill IT. We will never share user information to any third party without your permission unless we are required by law to do so.

Quill IT is committed to handling your customer information with high standards of information security. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files, and we authorise access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities.
